Where Have You Been Guys?

see how sad Fidel and I are that we haven't blogged in a while...heartbreaking, I know.

I am so sorry for the extreme delay in updating my blog, but I am officially back with a VENGEANCE!! Not really a vengeance, but a little more gusto at least. Which is really all anyone can ask for...

So anywho, a lot has happened since July, Adam and I are purchasing a home (hooray!!!!). There will be much more on that later, I don't have pics but you all will be fully informed on the entire decorating process because I am positive that is what you really want to know about.

Let's see, what else is happening, oh, Adam got his CDL! Yeah! For those who don't know what that is, it is a commercial drivers license, so he can drive trucks now. I know it sounds disgusting that I am married to a truck driver, but really, it's pretty hot. He can pull trailers with huge loads....mmmm...sexxxxy....

There are a few other things happening but I can't just blow my load on this first blog post back, so I will leave you with suspense about it.....let's just say that Adam and I are going to be having a new addition to our family in March!!!!

P.S. my Etsy store will be back online soon, I haven't done that either....I'm awesome, I know.

Back from Idaho

Adam, Fidel and I are back from Idaho and we had a killer time! I'll blog more about the festivities of Idaho later, don't you all worry, but for now, here are a few pics from our trip up to great white north.

In case you can't tell, Fidel was really excited to be heading to Idaho.

Fidel and I ridin' throught the gorgeous Nevada desert, he insisted on sitting on my lap so he wouldn't miss a thing, like miles of sage brush and the dirty, stinky antelope....

Still in Nevada....but bathroom breaks are the perfect photo op!

Ahhh....The great water tower of Idaho Falls, Idaho....stunning....

Road Trippin....

Hooray!!! Adam, Fidel and I are heading out on the open road tomorrow morning. We are heading North to Idaho to visit Adam's brother Nate and his wife Amanda. It should be an awesome time and I am soooo excited! I have only been to Idaho once, for a day. It was beautiful and I can't wait to take so many pics! There will lots to blog about when I return.

By the way, we will not be riding to Idaho in the back of a truck,
although it doesn't sound all that bad.

Very Interesting Find...

So, I live in the desert where we don't get a lot of things growing naturally except for the obvious desert vegetation, you know, sage brush, joshua trees, wildflowers. These things are all lovely, however, the other day a strange new thing popped up out side of our house. These weird mushrooms. They are about a foot tall and just arrived, unannounced a few days ago. I don't know why or how they came to be, but of course, I have my own theory...

In the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, weird spores grew on plants that grew into huge pods that overtook bodies and duplicated them into a passive, mundane people so they could control the human race. It happens very fast and you don't even see it coming....

I don't know where these mushrooms came from, but I'm just saying....be careful out there and if I ever show up without that usual gleam in my eye, then you know what happened:

No Soliciting....

Or Yes Soliciting? We came across this fine young man sitting at a rest stop while we were moving from Oregon. It's probably obvious why this guy is totally rad, but just in case you need help here are the 3 reasons I think he's awesome:

Reason #1: He's a bad ass. He doesn't care that he's not allowed to solicit at this public rest stop. He will boldly take his sign asking for money and sit purposely and aggressively under a NO SOLICITING sign all the while giving a nonverbal "F You" to the Man. Rebellion at its best.

Reason #2: He's got a cat. Homeless guy plus dog is so cliche. Want another way to be awesome? get a cat...and by the looks of things, I bet him and his cat are going to rule the world one day.

And finally,

Reason #3: He caught me taking a picture of him. I was slyly trying to take his pic, without him noticing, but as soon as I clicked my camera and sped away, I looked at the picture and noticed he was looking right at me, unashamed and committed. Just another reason why he might just be the most awesome man holding a cat that I have ever taken a picture of at a rest stop.
