Charlie's Blessing

Last Sunday little baby Charlie had her blessing and my oh my did she look beautiful.  Her Grandma Theresa bought her the most amazing gown complete with bonnet, shoes, socks and bloomers...she was definitely dressed to the nines!  Her Great Uncle Frank presented her to the church members and her Grandpa John performed the blessing, it was very moving.  Baby Charlie was wide awake and didn't make a peep, she just took it all in...she was a perfect angel.
Getting ready...she's got her bloomers on!

The back of her beautiful dress

fast asleep...waiting to be blessed

looking like she belongs in the 1800's, so precious

Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Monkey See, Monkey Do
by Charlie Skiles

Monkey See, Monkey Do
I love to just look at you

Just seeing your face,
Can make me smile
To see it again,
I'd walk a mile

But for now,
Stick out your tongue
And we will stay,
Forever young

These pictures were taken on Charlie's 2nd month birthday and she loves loves loves her Grandma Terry to stick her tongue out at her.  She started copying her and now it's her most favorite game...for geniuses, obviously!  Two months old people!  Two months!  She's gonna be a rocket scientist...no pressure...

Splish Splash She's Takin a Bath!

So, it's been a month since I've blogged (sorry) and two months since little Charlie was born and boy oh boy is she a growin'!  It took about 3 weeks but then her gross little umbilical cord stump thing fell off!  Yay, except Fidel ate it right up!  Just kidding, he didn't even want to taste it.  Just kidding, he did want to, but I wouldn't let him...anywho, after that stump fell off....

...She had her first real bath...
...and hated every minute of it!

cut to a month later

Now Charlie is starting to really enjoy bath time...
...getting clean, getting clean...

...rinsing off, rinsing off....

...looking fine, looking fine...

...feeling good, feeling good...

Then, Fidel got shaved
notice his little Tupperware of raw beef treats for being such a good boy!
mmm....raw beef treats...

Clean baby + Shaved dog = Photo Op!
nice job guys!

Then we dogsat Molly and all 3 had a bit of a snooze...

That is what is happening over here.  I will be blogging a whole lot more because I now have much more than just "she laid there all day, then she looked up, then she pooped, then she fell asleep, then she ate, then she pooped again..." so look forward to that!
